THIS AFTERNOON: It stayed chilly, in the 40s, for most of our area today because of the persistent clouds. Sun returned over Eastern New Mexico and the western South Plains earlier, which is where it was slightly warmer. We finally saw some clearing in Lubbock around 4 p.m.
TONIGHT: The clouds will increase once again, after Midnight. Low near 30. Some drizzle is possible in the morning. At this point it doesn't look cold enough or the precipitation heavy enough to cause any significant issues. But an icy patch on a bridge can't be ruled out, mainly to the north of Lubbock.
TOMORROW: The clouds will keep it cold, high only in the low to mid 40s. Wind NE/E 5-10mph. Some drizzle is possible, though it won't be much.
WEDNESDAY: Another cloudy and cold day. Some drizzle or freezing drizzle is possible. Though it doesn't look like anything heavy, Wednesday is when there might be some travel issues. At this point it doesn't look like a snow set-up, but drizzle or freezing drizzle.
LOOKING AHEAD: It's going to be a day and night for Halloween, sunny then clear. Temperature will be in the 40s and 30s Thursday evening.
The weekend will be sunny, warmer weather will return early next week.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have the latest update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
