LUBBOCK, Texas -

Five people were injured in a crash on the South Loop access road Friday. And now police are looking for the driver of a pick-up who may have information into what happened.

Investigators say, for an unknown reason, the driver of a sedan drove off the eastbound access road west of Slide. He crashed into a tree. The driver, a 20-year-old man, is hospitalized with serious injuries. Four other people in the car had minor to moderate injuries.

Major Crash Unit investigators are looking for a newer-model red Chevy pick-up. It's a dually and was pulling a trailer. Police say it was in the area at the time and may be relevant to this investigation.

Anyone with information on the crash or where this pick-up may be can reach the Major Crash Unit at 706.775.2757.
