Texas Tech Alumni Association unveils expansion of Frazier Alumni Pavilion

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Texas Tech put the finishing touches on its expansion of the Frazier Alumni Pavilion just ahead of the homecoming game.

The Alumni Association hosted a reception to unveil its newly renovated facility Thursday night. Vice President of Operations Chris Snead said one of the main issues was the facility not being big enough to house fans during game days.

"This is a great place for our alumni and friends to come on game day. We've doubled in size of this facility and allow more of our alumni to come in, enjoy a beverage, a meal before the game. It's a great place to meet friends and you know we call this making a good thing better," Snead said.

Additions include a 4,200 square-foot event area with an upstairs terrace, north and south entrance vestibules, an expanded catering kitchen and maintenance area and an enhanced sound system.

The pavilion hosts nearly 400 events each year.
