LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech women's tennis team continues its fall season this weekend when it travels to College Station, Texas for the ITA Texas Regionals, beginning on Thursday afternoon at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
About the Event
The ITA Regional Championships feature some of the top players across the country. Over 8,000 student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, Junior and Community Colleges compete across 85 ITA Regional Championships around the country. In Division I, regional doubles champions and regional singles champions and finalists qualify for the season-ending Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.
The Lady Raiders will face opponents from Abilene Christian, Baylor, Lamar, Rice, Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston State, SMU, Texas A&M, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas, Texas Southern, Houston, Incarnate Word, North Texas, UT-Arlington and UTSA.

Last Time Out
Lady Raiders Olivia Peet, Kennedy Bridgforth and Margarita Skriabrina competed in pre-qualifying of the ITA All-American Championships earlier this month.
Skriabrina advanced to the second round of the pre-qualifying draw with a straight-set win over Mississippi State's Tamara Racine. Bridgforth and Peet both came up short in their first-round matches. Consolation action was canceled due to weather in the area.
Next up for Texas Tech is the Arizona State Invitational, set for Nov. 8-10 in Tempe, Ariz.
