Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

What a comfortable afternoon with highs in the upper 60s and 70s.

TONIGHT: Another chilly on with lows dropping to the lower to mid 40s. Clear sky with a light southerly wind 5-10mph.

REST OF WEEK: After the chilly morning temperatures will be on the rise with a ridge of higher pressure over the region. Temperatures will jump to near 80 Thursday, mid 80s Friday with some passing cloud but mainly sunny. Southwest wind changes more westerly and increases 12-22mph for a little breeze Friday.

WEEKEND: Tech playing in town for their Homecoming Saturday and temperatures will drop to the mid 70s from a weak front. Lots of sunshine both days, with temperatures back in the 80s Sunday. The next approaching system will bring stronger wind speeds later Sunday becoming windy.

NEXT WEEK: A stronger front will drop those highs and bring a stronger northerly wind early Monday. Like today highs will stay comfortable in the lower 70s with lows in the 40s.

Have a great evening! Robert in with the next updated forecast Thursday morning on Good Day Lubbock.
