Above freezing but cold tonight, warmer weekend

Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

The weak front moved though earlier today and brought a breeze from the northeast. Overall it was sunny and a nice day, but temperatures are quickly dropping.
Current Temperature

TONIGHT: It will be a cold night, but no freezing temperatures expected. Low near 39, clear sky with the northeast wind calming 5-15mph.

WEDNESDAY: High near 70, lots of sun and southerly wind returning 5-10mph.

EXTENDED: Staying dry with a sunny sky for the rest of the week and this weekend for the Tech Homecoming Football game. Temperatures climb with highs in the 80s Friday and a little breezy, with another weak front passing that night. Temperatures really not moving much with highs in the upper 70s low 80s this weekend. Later Sunday the wind will pick up again ahead our next stronger front dropping highs to the low 70s to start next week.

Have a great rest of the evening. Robert will have the latest update to start your morning on Good Day Lubbock 5-9a.
