WALK N TALK – October 9- December 4, 8:30-9:30 a.m. Join a friendly competition to see which team can walk the most miles. The team goal is to reach 834 miles (the distance across Texas) during the eight weeks. Teams will meet at Catholic Charities (102 Avenue J) on Wednesday to ‘Walk n Talk’ about healthy drinks. Participants can walk, jog, bike, swim, run or even dance. A mileage equivalency calculator is offered—mileage will be reported weekly. Free watch pedometers and water bottles will be given away. GS Troop 6073 at Our Lady of Grace will host their annual Dia De Los Muertos Workshop from 6:30 – 8:30pm in the Buxkemper Hall located at 3111 Erskine St. Participants will learn more about this festive celebration, decorate a sugar skull, make a memory book for a loved one and enjoy ballet folklorico performances. Food items will be sold during event.
