LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Rawls College of Business held its largest recruitment event this semester.

Only students majoring in the college were able to attend. The event helped students find internships and potentially land full-time jobs.

It's also helping launch the Texas Workforce Commission's work matching website with the state's labor director, a special guest.

"If you are a student, or even if you're not a student, you're just someone looking for a job, there are over 800,000 opportunities for you to find your perfect job," Texas Workforce Commission Director Ed Serna said. "And if you are an employer, there are over 85,000 people looking for a job who probably meet what your are looking for."

Its website is free to use and compares work experience, skills, abilities and education to match jobs seeks with potential employers.
