Amarillo VA to host free flu shot clinics for enrolled Veterans

LUBBOCK, Texas -

From the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs: 

The Amarillo VA Health Care System will start providing flu shots for enrolled VA Veterans at the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center and our Community Bases Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Childress, Clovis, Dalhart and Lubbock starting in Oct.

The Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center will hold vaccine clinics: 
Monday - Friday, Oct. 7 - 11 from 8:30 a.m. to noon; Kollmar room (2nd floor)
Saturday, Oct. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to noon; main lobby
Evening clinic:  Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; main lobby

The Clovis CBOC will hold vaccine clinics: 
Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time, spouses welcome) 
Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time, no spouse) 

The Childress CBOC will hold vaccine clinics: 
Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon

The Dalhart CBOC will hold vaccine clinics: 
Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thomas E. Creek VAMC

The Lubbock CBOC will hold vaccine clinics: 
Thursday, Oct. 17 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Through special arrangements with Texas Tech, Veterans may bring their spouse to the VA flu clinic except the Childress CBOC. Seasonal flu vaccines will be free for medicare eligible spouses. Please bring a Medicare card. Cost for spouses will be $40 if Medicare or insurance is not available.
