Sept 26th 
Today all around town there will be community volunteers participating in United We Read, reading to over 4,000 second graders in classrooms across Lubbock County and will learn a simple lesson. That they matter and their education matters Every student will go home with a brand new copy of the book.

Today starting at 7:00pm at the Groves Library on 19th St. Camp Rio Blanco Circle of Friends will gather for the first time to share ideas on how to continue funding and supporting Girl Scout Camp Rio Blanco. All Girl Scouts 18 and older are invited to join this group www.CRBcircleoffriends.org

Sept 28th 
Model Rocket Workshop hosted by Silent Wings Museum. Participants will build their rockets on Sept 28th and Launch at Oct 5th. 10am – 12pm Silent Wings Museum $20 per person Ages 8 and up. 6202 N I-27.

Blast from the Past - Mahon Library invite you to join them for Beverly Hills Cop movie for Adults and older teens welcome. 2:30pm – 4:30pm

Civic Center will host Middle School Career Fair from 7:00am – 3:00pm helping local area middle school students to begin refining their career exploration to match their interests and abilities. Civic Center 1501 Mac Davis Lane.

COATS FOR KIDS RAFFLE - Knights of Columbus #12803 from Lubbock Saint Elizabeth Parish will raffle a Texas Tech football helmet signed by Patrick Mahomes II to help fund the annual Coats for Kids drive. Tickets are $5. The drawing will be on October 3, 2019. The Coats for Kids initiative has provided more than 230,000 coats for children since 2009! Ask a Knight for tickets or call the church office at 806-762-5225.

Maggie Trejo Supercenter will be hosting their Halloween Carnival beginning at 6:00pm

Oct 12th 
International Cultural Center will host Culture Fest from 11am – 2pm at 601 Indiana Ave. Event will include international music, dance, art projects and food. Free to public.
