THIS MORNING: No rain but overcast sky with the possibility of fog to develop. This will start breaking up through the morning.
TODAY: Some sunshine by noon then an isolated chance for storms to develop toward TX/NM border. These isolated storms will push east into the central South Plains before diminishing after the sunsets. We still have the potential for storms to bring some heavy down pours, but coverage will be less today. Temperatures warming a few more degrees with the high near 87.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with the low near 66, rain chances diminish before midnight.
WEDNESDAY: Some clouds but more sun with temperatures climbing to the upper 80s and low 90s. An isolated storm possible, but limited to our southwestern counties.
EXTENDED: Things stay dry and hot for the rest of the week with highs near 90. An isolated shower or storms can't be ruled out but much of the area looks dry. This weekend the next upper level low pressure storm system will dig across the Rockies. This will keep the moisture in our area with rain chances returning late Saturday night into the start of next week.
Have a great Tuesday! Matt with the latest details tonight on the News at Nine.
