THIS AFTERNOON: Scattered showers and storms have developed around our area, most widespread north and northwest of Lubbock. We expect storms to continue this evening before gradually diminishing in coverage later tonight. Here's FOX34 VIPIR:
TONIGHT: Cloudy, low in the mid 60s. Still a slight chance for a shower or storm through morning.
FRIDAY: It'll be similar to today, though probably not as hot. We expect scattered coverage of storms by the afternoon. Storms will continue into the evening and Friday night. This means some of the football games could be affected by a storm. The chance at any single game site is 40%.
WEEKEND: More storm development is expected Saturday, with a slightly lower chance Sunday. The overall pattern isn't changing much next few days. Some storms will be capable of producing localized flooding and a few could become strong, with gusty wind and hail.
NEXT WEEK: The rain chance will drop off some, but we still can't rule out rain through mid-week.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
