Josh Abbott brings his signature event, JAB Fest, back to Lubbock this weekend. The West Texas Walk of Fame member said he wanted to add a new feature this year to make sure fans have a safe experience.

Abbott is chartering three buses to give fans a safe, free ride back to their neighborhoods. The service is aimed at Texas Tech students with drop-offs in Tech Terrace, the Overton area and the United Supermarkets Arena. Fans will have to get themselves to the Lone Star Events Center Friday and Saturday night, but they can plan on riding the buses back. They will run from 10 p.m. to Midnight both nights of JAB Fest.

Abbott said this is something he has been trying to put together for years because he feels a responsibility to make sure his fans are safe when they are having fun.

This year's lineup for JAB Fest features Josh Abbott Band, Robert Earl Keen, Whiskey Myers, Parker McCollum, Koe Wetzel, Charlie Shafter, Grant Gilbert, Sunny Shipley and TexWestus. Tickets are $30 for each day or $50 for a two-day pass.
