Crisp start to the morning as temperatures dropped to the 60s.
TODAY: Temperatures quickly warming up with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. Mostly sunny with a light south/southeasterly wind 5-12mph.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with the low near 66.
TUESDAY: Partly sunny with the high near the same nearing 91 for Lubbock. There might be a few isolated showers or storms to our far western counties and into New Mexico. Not expecting much in coverage or precipitation for the few locations that may get rain.
EXTENDED: Things look to change with a better chance for showers and storms to end the week and this weekend. A upper level low will dig across the Rockies with the ridge of high pressure pushing across the southern states. Gulf moisture will increase with the low sending a front to lift the moisture. Better chances for rain later Friday and Saturday, still some details to workout over the next few days so stay tuned.
Have a great start to the work week! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
