Isolated storms south this evening, hotter and drier weekend

LUBBOCK, Texas -

A few isolated to widely scattered showers and storms possible for our southern counties this evening.

Current Radar:
South Plains Radar

The cold front push towards I-20, a little further south than what some models where showing. So most of our area will stay dry with a partly cloudy sky tonight. It will be a nice but muggy morning with the low near 65.

WEEKEND: Ridge of high pressure will keep us dry, but some clouds are expected with highs both days in the mid to upper 80s.

TECH FOOTBALL GAME IN ARIZONA: Kick off will be late at 9:30p so the end of game might be 1am. They will also have a chance for storms that will likely diminish after midnight. That will be something that could extend the time of the game.

NEXT WEEK: Little to no chance for precipitation with more sunshine and hotter temperatures. Hottest day looks to be Wednesday with lower to mid 90s possible across the area. Low temperatures will warm to the upper 60s and low 70s.

Have a great Weekend! Robert with the next updated forecast Saturday at 6P and 9P.
