Lubbock VA Clinic reaches milestone in construction process

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock's one step closer to its new VA Clinic.

The last structural beam is in place at 4th and Indiana, marked by a recognition ceremony for the construction crew.

The "topping off" ceremony is considered a milestone for the construction process. Some of the Jacobsen Construction crew members are veterans themselves.

"That's really important to us, you know, that they're actually laying their hands on this beam and putting it together. It's a symbol of the completion of the framework of what will be the, you know, a new modern clinic for veteran health care in Lubbock," Chief Administrator Dalton Keel said.

The project is right on schedule and looks like the facility will be ready in the Spring of 2021.
