Godeke Library hosting a voter registration today from 9:00am – 11:30am. 5034 Frankford.

Scholarship Deadline Sept 6th 
The Raiders Rojos Online-line scholarship application closes tomorrow at 5:00pm. Twelve $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to be applied toward Fall 2019 or Spring 2020

Community Engagement Monthly Meeting hosted by Community Engagement Task Force begins at 7:30am at 1625 13t St.

First Friday Art Trail Make sure to swing by Miss Megan’s Make Room at 3307 Elgin Ave. from 5:00 – 7:00pm along with all the regular downtown venues.

Buddy’s Holly Birthday Bash 10am Buddy Holly Center. In honor of the 83rd birthday of Buddy Holly. Celebrate Buddy's life with FREE admission all day, snacks, cupcakes, children's activities, and a live music performance by Jason Feller from 2:00pm-4:00pm.

2019 South Plains Balloon Round-up 7am (Sunrise) Buffalo Springs Lake. Eight balloons expected weather permitted. Saturday morning lift off and then a balloon glow in the evening. For more information visit: Buffalo Springs Lake.

The United Family is hosting a health fair at several surrounding Amigos locations. From Lubbock to Amarillo, Plainview to Hereford. 11am to 3pm Great way for you to take care of yourself free glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure check and flu shots. Lots of information. Glucose test will be better if your fasting. 82,000 people have died from the flu

Sept 14th

The 49th Annual Fall Arts & Crafts Festival will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on the front lawn of the Garden & Arts Center. More and 80 vendors will be selling handcrafted items, visitors can take in live entertainment, art demonstrations, and sample a variety of food from vendors. Children will enjoy Art Alley, a hands-on experience for all ages. Parking is never a problem with free park and ride from K.N.Clapp Swimming Pool parking lot at 46th and Avenue U and Hodges Community Center parking lot at 40th & University.
