Hot and sunny rest of the week

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Another hot one for this afternoon with lots of sunshine area wide. High nearing 94, with a very light southwest wind changing southeasterly 5-12mph.

TONIGHT: Low near 67 with a clear sky.

EXTENDED: No major changes with the ridge of high pressure settled in the region. This will leave us with sunshine and highs ranging low to mid 90s for most of the area. Upper 90s with some 100 possible through the week into the Rolling Plains. Into next week we may see a slight chance for rain, at the moment models are not agreeing. Even though they differ neither bring a good chance for rain.

HURRICANE DORIAN: A lot of devastation as it is still nearly stationary, but the eye has moved north of the Grand Bahama Island overnight. They will still be dealing with the southern eye wall today as it slowly pushes northwesterly. This is expected to stay east of Florida but will bring high waves and heavy rainfall across the east coast. Later this week it may make landfall as a hurricane in North Carolina dumping lots of rain across the Carolina's. Here is the latest track from Nation Hurricane Center:
