The 17-month-old girl who survived the Odessa attack is now back home.
Paramedics air-lifted Anderson Davis to UMC in Lubbock Saturday afternoon. Doctors had to remove shrapnel from her chest and mouth before she went home.
Her family was on the way to the grocery store when the killer shot out their windows and wounded the young girl.
"I'm grateful Anderson is here," her mom Kelby Davis said. "I'm so thankful that we're not one of those families that's on the other side of this. And it makes you feel guilty almost, but that's why I just have to remind myself: God does not cause tragedies like this, but God is going to walk through all of us."
Despite her injuries, her parents say Anderson is expected to make a full recovery.
