Red Raiders shine in Matt Wells' debut, dominate Montana State

The Red Raiders were 25-point favorites against Montana State, and their offense started how David Yost said it would all training camp long: fast.

The first offensive drive ended with a McLane Mannix 5-yard receiving touchdown. SaRodorick Thompson punched in a rushing TD on the next to give Matt Wells' team a 14-0 lead.

Tech was in control the rest of the way, taking down the Bobcats 45-10. Armand Shyne led the running back trio with 128 rushing yards, including a 69-yard touchdown run. But it was Alan Bowman who stole the show, he was 40/55 with 436 yards and 2 passing touchdowns and a rushing TD.

The Red Raiders will return to the gridiron next Saturday when they host UTEP at 7 p.m.
