Slight chance for storms this weekend, plenty hot

A FEW STORMS: A few showers and storms have developed this afternoon and evening. Coverage is pretty limited. These storms aren't moving much, and some fall apart not long after developing. Here is FOX34 VIPIR:

We expect a few more storms to pop up through the rest of this afternoon and evening. Coverage across our area will be pretty limited, meaning the chance at any one location is low. Sunset is just after a quarter past 8. Temperature will drop to the mid to upper 80s by the end of tonight's games.

SATURDAY: Hot with a good supply of sunshine, high near 95. By mid-afternoon into the evening, there is a slight chance for a storm. Kickoff for the Red Raiders around 93. Be ready for a hot day at Jones Stadium. Wind S/SE 10-15mph.

SUNDAY: Still hot, lower chance for a storm, high near 93.

NEXT WEEK: The upper-level ridge won't budget all that much, which means we don't see a significant cool-down any time soon.

Have a great weekend and Guns Up! for Tech. Robert will have a full update to the forecast here tomorrow.
