LUBBOCK, Texas -

Habitat for Humanity can build more homes this upcoming year thanks to the generosity of its donors and volunteers.

The Restoration Luncheon is one of its biggest fundraisers. Our own Kurt Kiser emceed the event with Hiawatha Culver, pastor at Rising Star Baptist and the father of Timberwolves Jarrett Culver, was the featured speaker.

The guests of honor Thursday afternoon were the habitat homeowners. The luncheon's anticipated to raise more than $20,000.

Each home costs between $80,000 and $100,000. Habitat closed four homes this past year. It plans on six next year and eight in 2021.
