Lea County Deputy reports department issued gun and laptop stolen from patrol car

LEA COUNTY, New Mexico -

A Lea County Sheriff's Deputy reported his department issued black Cold SBR Rifle and silver Panasonic CF54 Tough Book laptop had been stolen from his patrol unit between Friday, August 23, and Monday, August 26. 

The rifle has an aimpoint red dot optic mounted on it with a brown sling. 

The case is under investigation Lovington Police Department. 

The Lea County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help in recovering these stolen items and locating the suspect or suspects involved.
