All Saints Episcopal School launches new Spanish program with Viva Kids

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Speaking multiple languages is a skill that opens the door to endless opportunities. Studies show multi-lingual people have better memories, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. With more than 37 million speakers, Spanish is by far the most spoken non-English language in the U.S. 'All Saints Episcopal School' hopes follow with the growing trend by partnering with 'Viva Kids' a full Spanish immersion program.

"I think a couple things about Viva Kids is that their approach really matches the All Saints philosophy of play with a purpose." said All Saints Episcopal head master, Bruce Latta. "You will see kids singing and there will be a lot of movement and they will have a lot of fun and along the way they are going to learn a lot of Spanish."

The Viva Kids Spanish program not only teaches the language, but it also incorporates culture and traditions of all Spanish speaking countries through songs and hands on activities.

"One of our biggest missions is to make learning a second language fun and making it effective as well," said Monica Tato, chief operating officer of Viva Kids. "We will teach language such as colors, and shapes and body parts, but we are also teaching them games that they will play in Honduras or in Spain or how Christmas is celebrated and what things are the same as here you know for us and what things are different so they learn language and culture together."

This Spanish program focuses on Pre-K, Kindergarten, and first grade students. Viva Kids also operates independently and has a center of its own it has private and group sessions for all children, for a full list visit: 'Viva Kids Classes'.
