A few showers with some rumbles of thunder continued over night bringing some locations a few hundredths of an inch. Current radar below:
TODAY: A partly cloudy sky will help to keep temperatures a few degrees cooler with the high near 94. There will be a slight chance for isolated storms to develop through this afternoon and evening. These storms might produce some strong wind gusts and brief downpours. Again not a good chance for everyone to get rain, just isolated areas.
TONIGHT: Low near 70, cloud cover will stick around with the slight chance for isolated showers and storms.
FRIDAY: A mixture of sun and clouds to help the temperatures stay near 95. Another afternoon with some isolated storms across parts of the area.
WEEKEND: Some isolated storms might be possible to our eastern counties Saturday, sunny and dry Sunday. The heat will quickly ramp up again with triple digit heat area wide Sunday.
NEXT WEEK: Monday looks to possibly be the hottest day depending on when a stronger front will push into the area. This will drop highs to near average with some 80s possible Tuesday. This front may also bring a slight chance for some more rain, long range models aren't in agreement on this as of yet.
Have a great Thursday! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
