Market Street hosts flag signing to support El Paso victims

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Several flags are on their way to El Paso, signed in solidarity for victims and first responders of the recent shooting.

It's part of the "Ride to Heal our Brothers and Sisters" tour. The group is traveling the state to get signatures of support after the attack. Michael Gomez is a survivor of the Sutherland Springs church shooting back in 2017.

He said by being a part of the this group, he can tremind others of the healing process. He believes it isn't allowed due to the politics surrounding mass shootings.

"We just want to remind people of what we do, what we go through and just make sure that my brothers and sisters in El Paso know that they're not forgotten and other first responders throughout the state and the country are supporting them, praying for them and wanting them to heal. Them and their families," Gomez said.

From Lubbock, it'll go to the Midland, Odessa and on the El Paso to deliver the flags Friday.
