Suspect charged with manslaughter, man died in April crash near 50th and Ave. Q

LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Lubbock County Grand Jury has indicted a man for killing another in a crash in April

The jury confirmed manslaughter charges against Joshua Guzman, 33, for a crash near 50th Street and Ave. Q. The crash killed Pedro Martinez, Jr., 61, and seriously hurt two other victims. 

Investigators report Guzman was driving nearly 60 mph in a stolen car when he slammed into and SUV turning out of the United. 

Court records indicate Guzman had methamphetamine in his system and investigators report he had a gun, a meth pipe and other paraphernalia in his car. 

He's held on a $90,000 bond.
