THIS AFTERNOON: It's not quite as hot as yesterday, though still plenty hot. It's mainly been mid to upper 90s on the Caprock, with some triple digits farther east. Storms have been in New Mexico and the Panhandle, though it's possible we'll see an isolated shower or storm here.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy, low near 72. Wind S/SW 5-12mph.
TOMORROW: High near 97, mostly sunny. Wind SW/SE 5-15mph. There is a slight chance for a shower or storm tomorrow night.
NEXT FEW DAYS: Things are looking a little more promising for storms on Thursday. We're not too confident just yet, seeing how dry it's been past few weeks. But computers are showing a weak upper disturbance will help produce coverage of storms better than we've seen as of late. The high will be in the mid 90s next few days, before edging back up to around 100 Sunday and Monday.
There are still some signs of it cooling off a little by the mid to latter part of next week, but it's too far out to get excited about that. For now, lots more hot days are upcoming.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
