It's climbed above 100 across much of the area this afternoon. And, once again, a few storms have developed. These are slowly moving east. Main concern will be some gusty wind from the stronger storms, possibly some gusts topping 60mph. Here is FOX34 VIPIR:
Storms will diminish later tonight, leading to a warm and partly cloudy night. Low near 74, wind S 5-15mph.
SATURDAY: Very hot and mostly sunny, high near the date's record of 103. Wind SW 10-15mph. A few isolated storms are possible late.
SUNDAY: Record for the date is also 103, we're forecasting to break that. Plenty of sun.
LOOKING AHEAD: There isn't much of a break from the heat soon, though the weekend should bring the worst of it over the next 10 days. It does look less hot by late next week.
Have a great weekend. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here Saturday afternoon.
