Some isolated storms have popped up this afternoon. Current radar below:
The chance for this activity will continue this evening then diminishing after the sunsets.
OVERNIGHT: Temperatures drop to the upper 60s and 70s. Models aren't showing any over night rain, but they haven't done a good job the last few days so not ruling the chance out.
FRIDAY: High near 100, again late afternoon into the evening a few isolated storms will be possible. South/southwest wind will stay light 10-15mph.
EXTENDED: Things dry out through the weekend with 100s expected area wide. Plan to be indoors with this near record heat and drink plenty of water. These highs look to continue into the beginning of next week and dropping to the mid and upper 90s by Wednesday. No good chance for rain in sight.
Have a great evening! Bobby with the next updated forecast to start the morning on Good Day Lubbock 5-9a.
