We are watching storms in the northern Panhandle that are pushing southeast. This activity if it can stay together might make it into our area. Current radar:
TODAY: A mixture of sunshine and clouds with some isolated storms possible later this afternoon and evening hours. We are not expecting wide spread rain but more isolated showers and storms. High near 97, south/southwest wind light 5-15mph with strong gusts possible with the isolated storms.
TONIGHT: Low near 72, partly cloudy with rain chances diminishing before midnight.
FRIDAY: Triple digit heat returns with the high near 100. Again some isolated storms possible later in the afternoon and evening.
EXTENDED: The ridge of high pressure pushes into central Texas leaving us with hot temperatures into next week. Rain chances will diminish with a mostly sunny sky and mild night temperatures.
Have a great Thursday! Matt with the latest updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
