Pedestrian fatally struck by dump truck in Wolfforth

WOLFFORTH, Texas -

A pedestrian is dead after a crash near Donald Preston Dr. of the west bound frontage road on Highway 62/82 in Wolfforth, Tuesday morning. 

The Wolfforth Police Department and Wolfforth EMS responded to the crash. The pedestrian, Devon Dominquez, 21, was found with severe injuries and taken to the hospital where he later died. 

Investigators report workers with Cox Paving of Texas were working on a road resurfacing project on the frontage road. Dominquez crossed behind a dump truck as it was backing up on the frontage road and was run over, according to Wolfforth PD. 

The crash is still under investigation at this time.
