TODAY: Another hot one with highs in the upper 90s and 100s area wide. Clouds likely increasing through the afternoon with an isolated chance for some storms developing. Likely to have a better chance for rain to our eastern counties.
TONIGHT: Cold front will push through the area changing the wind northeasterly 5-15mph. Temperatures will drop to the upper 60s and 70s with a mostly clear sky.
TUESDAY: It will still be hot, just not as hot. High near 96, mostly sunny with models dropping rain chances in our area.
EXTENDED: The ridge of high pressure builds back to our west leaving us with a northeast upper level flow. This might bring some late showers and storms in our area from New Mexico Wednesday- early Friday. Also, this will help to keep temperatures down with high in the mid to upper 90s. Hotter temperatures look to return for the weekend.
Have a great Monday! Matt with the latest updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
