Fewer 100s next week - FOX34 Lubbock

Fewer 100s next week

Monday will be hot, with 101° expected in Lubbock, overall though not much change from the last week or so. Then comes Tuesday, which still does not present much change. However, it will begin a trend of temperatures in the mid 90s and lows in the low 70s. This is closer to average, but still above average. Also, at the moment it looks like Tuesday and Wednesday may present a slightly better chance of rain than the last several days. A few of us got lucky this afternoon and evening in out most western counties with a few showers.

TONIGHT: Clear with a low of 75°, and S winds 5-10mph.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny with a high of 100° and dry. SSE wind 10 mph.

Mostly sunny beyond Wednesday with highs in the mid 90s. Some places will undoubtedly reach 100°, likely well south and well east of Lubbock. Sunday could bring some showers too, but for the moment I'm keeping us dry. Don't be surprised either if we dip back into the 60s this week too overnight.
