South Plains Food Bank receives $30K and peanut butter donation from Prosperity Bank

LUBBOCK, Texas -

The South Plains Food Bank is more than $30,000 and 1,600 pounds of peanut butter richer because of a donation from Prosperity Bank and the Texas Peanut Producers.

They raised the money and spread from customers, sponsors and donors through last month.

Prosperity Bank and the Peanut Producers have been fighting food insecurity with the food bank for years.

The food bank anticipates it'll help provide more than 600,000 meals for clients who wouldn't otherwise know where their next meal's coming from.

The food bank serves 20 counties across the South Plains.
