UPDATE: South Plains Electric Co-op reports power is restored

LUBBOCK, Texas -

SPEC reports all power was restored as of 2:35 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

South Plains Electric Cooperative, Inc. has reported 1,190 customers without power between Lubbock and Idalou Thursday afternoon. 

Crews have backfed two of the circuits, restoring about half of the members affected by the outage. SPEC said in a Facebook post crews will continue to work until power is restored to all customers.
