Another hot one again this afternoon with highs in the upper 90s low 100s. Some high clouds will be present for a mostly sunny day. Southwest/south wind will stay light 10-15mph.
TONIGHT: Low near 73 and partly cloudy.
CHANGES ON THE WAY: A cold front will provide some relief from the heat Sunday and a chance for storms Saturday. This front pushes in the area late Saturday morning and into the early afternoon. A better chance for the isolated storms will be across the southern and western South Plains. Wide spread rain not expected and much of our area will stay dry. It will still be hot with the high near 96, but dropping to upper 80s low 90s Sunday.
NEXT WEEK: The ridge of high pressure pushes east closer to our area again providing hot temperatures and sunshine again.
Have a great Friday and weekend! Robert will have the next update tonight on the News at Nine.
