The Summer Showcase is a weekly event hosted by the Buddy Holly Center every Thursday from 5:30PM-7:30PM in the Meadows Courtyard. There will be food trucks, a cash bar, live music, and lots of dancing. As always, this event is FREE and open to the public!

First Friday Art Trial

Held on the first Friday of every month in venues around the city open FREE of charge to display local and regional visual and performing art. A free trolley service to and from venues will be offered in the downtown area.

Back to School Summer Funfest hosted by Community Health Center of Lubbock from 9am -12pm 1610 5th St. Games, Prizes and Fun! Free Immunizations Free School Supplies Free Backpacks

Back to School Fiesta hosted by Texas Tech College Connect 9:00am – 12pm. All K-12 students welcomed. The event will feature free lunch, and live entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Free school supplies and backpacks will be given to K-12 students in attendance based on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't miss out. Registration will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. in the Jones Stadium Parking Lot. The event will also feature a college and community fair, college admission and financial aid information, and bilingual events and activities.

National Night Out hosted by Lubbock Parks and Recreation from 7pm – 10:30pm Maggie Trejo Supercenter 3200 Amherst St. Games, refreshments, and entertainment! An evening with friends and neighbors to band against drugs, gang violence and crime. After the event, stay for our Movie In The Park, Legos Movie 2, sponsored by Amerigroup beginning at dusk! All Ages. (3.5hrs). Free

Aug 9th 
End of Summer Bash - Get one last summer celebration in before the start of school. Enjoy games, refreshments and food. After the event, stay for our Movie In The Park, Ralph Breaks The Internet, sponsored by Amerigroup beginning at dusk! All Ages. (2hrs) Free. Maxey Community Center is located at 4020 30th Street.

Aug 10th 
3rd Annual Invade the Lake Tug of War. Love Thy Neighbor Present the 3rd Annual "Invade the Lake" community concert on Saturday, August 10th. Join us for a FREE night of worship, food, fellowship, family fun, and youth group tug of war battles.

We are inviting all churches to set up a booth to fundraiser for your ministry. All proceeds earned stay with your church.
