Staying hot next few days

Staying hot next few days

LUBBOCK, Texas -

The dome of high pressure sits over the area over the next few days.

TODAY: Sunny and hot with highs in the upper 90s, some 100s possible. The wind staying light 5-10mph changing to the south/southeast.

TONIGHT: Another mild morning with lows in the upper 60s and low 70s.

REST OF WEEK: Highs will climb a few degrees more with more locations breaching the 100s.

WEEKEND: A cold front will help to relieve these hot temperatures with highs dropping the low 90s by Sunday. This will also bring a slight chance for some showers and storms late Saturday and into parts of Sunday. Not a good chance at the moment for rainfall but an increase in cloud cover will help the temperatures too.

Have a great Wednesday! Matt with the latest updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
