UPDATED: Deadly shooting not random act of violence

LUBBOCK, Texas -
A man is dead after a shooting early Monday morning at the Cottages of Lubbock apartment complex, east of the Texas Tech campus.
 
Police responding to a shots fired call near Ninth Street and Avenue T found Trey Adams, 20, wounded. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
 
Investigators have identified several "involved parties". Detectives do not believe this is a random act of violence. A Monday afternoon update from Lubbock Police states the people involved knew each other. No arrests have yet been made.
