Chance of storms tonight and Monday - FOX34 Lubbock

Chance of storms tonight and Monday

After a long dry spell, there's actually a chance of showers overnight, and Monday afternoon as well. It looks like areas west and north of Lubbock will have the best chance of rain tonight. Don't be surprised if you don't see any though. Any storms we see will be fairly isolated, and will likely fizzle out by the time they move south of Lubbock.

TONIGHT: Low of 70°, partly cloudy with a thunderstorm possible, SSE wind 5-15mph.

SUNDAY: Partly sunny, high of 92°, afternoon/evening storms possible, ESE wind 5-15.

Temperatures will begin to increase a bit by midweek. I don't think we'll see temperatures reach 100° in Lubbock, but areas farther south near the Permian Basin, or east into the rolling plains likely will.
