LUBBOCK, Texas -

Textile executives representing 20 companies from Indonesia had the opportunity to travel across the U.S. Cotton Belt.

Indonesia is the fifth largest market for U.S. cotton. The 20 representatives got a first hand look into the production and distribution of U.S. cotton.

It's a chance for textile manufacturers to meet and strengthen relationships with cotton exporters.

"They see the way how the, you know, the harvest is done with the machinery. They know how the equipment of the ginning is done and they see how the maintenance is done," Andy Do, an Indonesia Cotton Council International representative, said. "They ask questions and the, you know, the American farmers explain to them how they do it."

Indonesia's textile mills are expected to import nearly three million bales by the end of this year.
