The Summer Showcase is a weekly event hosted by the Buddy Holly Center every Thursday from 5:30PM-7:30PM in the Meadows Courtyard. There will be food trucks, a cash bar, live music, and lots of dancing. As always, this event is FREE and open to the public!

Develop your mind, body, and spirit with Yoga in the Plaza! Each week, we will feature a different yoga studio, style, and instructor. Synchronize movement with breath as you awaken strength, energy, and flexibility at these open-level classes outside under the blue West Texas sky. Thanks to all our awesome instructors for giving of their time for this event! Participants should bring a yoga mat or towel, water and sunscreen. July 27th 
National Ranching Heritage Center – Ranch Host Saturday from 10am to 1pm. 3121 4th St. Free and open to the public Donations are accepted. Ranch Host volunteers come out dressed in period clothing to hang out in the historic structures, answer questions, visit with guests about the history of the structure and work on period crafts. On these select dates our volunteers make the park come to life by providing guests with a unique visitor experience they can’t get on any other day. Be sure to stop by the Box and Strip House so your kids can make button spinners!

Mae Simmons Community Center and Dunbar Manhattan Heights Neighborhood Association are teaming up to host a cleanup event for the adjacent neighborhood! Roll offs will be provided by City of Lubbock Solid Waste, and Keep Lubbock Beautiful.

There will be small tools for picking up litter around the park, and citizens are encouraged to use roll offs to get rid of any unwanted furniture, tree limbs and other bulky items. No tires or appliances please! 8:00am – 1:00pm 2004 Oak Ave.

July 27th 
Bayer Museum of Agriculture 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Lubbock County Historical Society will be from 1:00 – 5:00pm. FREE admission, Food trucks, Bounce House and Live music. Event will feature guided tours of the restored Underwood Pullman Car by members of the Lubbock Heritage Society. Come learn about the agricultural history of Lubbock. 1121 Canyon Lake Drive.

July 27th 
Experience the nocturnal nature of Yellowhouse Draw and tour the night sky at our Landmark After Dark Night Hike. Begin at the Interpretive Center and hike along the 3.5-mile nature trail with a guide. Night hikes begin at dusk, 30 minutes before sunset. This hike takes 75-90 minutes. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and hiking begins at 7:45 p.m. Be sure to wear comfortable, sturdy, closed-toed shoes and bug spray. This event is free of charge and open to all ages. Night hikes are held on the fourth Saturday of the month, weather permitting.
