UPDATE: Borden County crash kills 2 adults, 3 children airlifted to Lubbock

Updated: The Borden County Sheriff's Office reports at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday night, a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of FM 1210 and CR 131 has left two people dead and three children injured. 

The crash happened just east of O'Donnell. 

A Dodge Durango ran a stop sign and was struck by a pickup, according to deputies.  The Durango had five passengers; two adults and three children.

Deputies report the two adult passengers Sara Bergen, 22, of O'Donnell, and Johan Bergen, 31, of O'Donnell, died on scene. DPS reports Johan was not wearing a seatbelt. All three children were airlifted to UMC. None of the children's safety seats were utilized, according to DPS. 

The driver of the pickup, Jaden Benavidez, 20, of O'Donnell, suffered minor injuries. He was taken to the Medical Arts Hospital in Lamesa. 

The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently investigating the crash.
