UPDATED: 1 dead, 3 injured in overnight shooting

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Update from the Lubbock Police Department: 

At approximately 2:30 a.m., Lubbock police officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the area of North Elder Avenue and East Colgate Street. It appears a suspect targeted a vehicle with five male occupants inside and fired multiple shots at the vehicle.

Four of the occupants were injured and taken by EMS to the hospital. One of the victims, 18-year-old Antoine Wilson, was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

This case is currently under investigation by the Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit.

Police are processing the scene of a shooting from early this morning at North Elder and East Colgate.

Three people are hospitalized with life threatening injuries and police believe there was a fourth victim who left the scene.

None of the victims have been publicly identified and no word yet on a possible suspect.
