LUBBOCK, Texas -

A Lubbock grand jury has indicted a man in connection to a fatal motorcycle crash last month.

Robert Quevedo, 55, is charged with failure to stop and render aid. His son, Jeremiah Quevedo, was charged with tampering with evidence but the charge was dismissed.

On Saturday, June 29, investigators reported Robert Macias Jr., 24, rear-ended their Chevy pickup. Quevedo sped off before police arrived, according to investigators.

Macias was taken to the hospital where he later died.

On Tuesday, July 2, police reported finding the pickup at a home near 28th Street and Ave. W. They arrested the father and son the next day.

Quevedo is held on a $60,000 bond.
