Lubbock County Commissioners are expected to open the bank account for the Lubbock County Expo Center project. This is where ear-marked money from the hotel-motel occupancy tax and car rental tax will go.
In other action expected at Monday's meeting, commissioners will honor the 50th anniversary for the Lubbock County Historical Collection. They will also consider IT upgrades for the court system and receive an update on the status of road projects.
Later in the afternoon, commissioners will work on the budget and get an update on the Expo Center from a group specializing in private-public partnerships.
The Commissioners Court meeting begins at 10 a.m. Monday, July 8, on the 5th floor of the Lubbock County Courthouse.
