Some rain in area this evening, low chance for storms each day

Posted:

THIS AFTERNOON: There are a few showers and storms in the area, very slowly moving to the southeast. Storms have generally been off of the Caprock, to the east, while showers have been on the Caprock. These will continue making slow progress to the southeast this evening. A few may bring some heavy rainfall.

INTERACTIVE RADAR

TONIGHT: Low in the upper 60s to low 70s, mostly cloudy. There may be a few lingering showers through morning.

TOMORROW: High near 92, partly to mostly cloudy. Wind S/SE 10-18mph. Slim chance for late-day storms.

STAGNANT PATTERN: There isn't much changing from day to day through the weekend into early next week. This means there is the possibility for a storm each afternoon and evening, though the chance on any one day isn't great. The severe weather risk will remain fairly low.

If you have outdoor plans for the Fourth of July, be aware storms are possible. It's nothing to change plans over. But if a storm approaches, get inside while the storm passes.

Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
-Matt
