Storm possible again later today

LUBBOCK, Texas -

A few locations received some light rainfall last night from the showers and storms that moving in from New Mexico.

TODAY: Temperatures expected to be a little cooler due to the increased cloud cover. High near 90, with a light southerly wind 5-15mph. Showers are possible through the morning, isolated shower or storm possible as we get into the afternoon hours.

TONIGHT: Again we will be looking west for storms to develop in New Mexico and push into our area. This activity will be light again with better chances near the TX/NM border. Low near 69 and mostly cloudy.

EXTENDED: Highs will stay in the low 90s during the day, with mild nighttime temperatures. Although not a good wide spread chance for rain, some isolated showers and storms will continue through the rest of the week and into the weekend. Lower chance for this activity will be on the 4th which is perfect for all the outdoor events.
