Toasty days ahead, isolated storms possible west

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Some clouds moved in overnight from the diminished showers and storms in New Mexico.

TODAY: Mostly sunny with highs in the lower 90s, south wind a light breeze 10-18mph.

TONIGHT: Likely to have more storms developing in New Mexico that might push into our western counties late tonight. For the rest of us staying dry with more cloud cover from the storms. Low's nice again dropping to the upper 60s and lower 70s.

EXTENDED: The ridge of high pressure will continue to build across much of the nation. This will continue to help keep us toasty and dry through the weekend. Some storms possible west but should diminish before making it into our area. There might be some isolated storms next week, but for now going with more cloud cover with highs dropping a few degrees.

Have a great Thursday and stay hydrated! Matt with the updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
